Paving Their Path: Two Students Begin Their Road to Reynolds Journey

We’re excited to welcome two outstanding students into our Road to Reynolds program: Jacob Shuter from Frankton High School, who will be attending Vincennes University, and Carter Landers from Western Boone High School, who is heading to Lakeland College. Both students are passionate about agriculture and eager to develop their skills in the equipment industry.

When asked about his future with Reynolds, Jacob shared,

“I am most excited about the opportunities and the different job positions I can possibly rise up to in the future, as well building a strong camaraderie with the other guys (technicians) in the shops and in the company in general.”

His parents couldn’t agree more. They said this opportunity fits Jacob to a T — he’s always loved green tractors and they’re excited to see him thrive with the hands-on learning experiences both at Vincennes and with the Reynolds team.

Carter’s passion for farm equipment also runs deep.

“Well, when I was little I always was around farm equipment and I knew I would always love it.” Carter said.

His parents shared that Carter has been showing this passion since he was a little kid, farming right in their living room with toy tractors. His dedication to agriculture has been a lifelong journey, and now, it’s taking the next big step.

What is Road to Reynolds?

The Road to Reynolds is more than just a scholarship or internship — it’s a pathway for students interested in service technician careers to gain real-world experience while receiving support for their education. Through this program, students have the opportunity to: Work hands-on at a Reynolds Farm Equipment location, gain practical, on-the-job training alongside experienced technicians, receive financial assistance toward an associate degree focused on agriculture, diesel, or equipment technology, and build a long-term career with Reynolds after graduation

This unique partnership between Reynolds Farm Equipment and participating colleges allows students to apply what they’re learning in the classroom directly to the equipment they’ll service in the field. It’s a win-win for both the students and the future of the agriculture industry.

How Jacob and Carter Will Benefit

For Jacob and Carter, the Road to Reynolds program is the start of something big. They’ll be gaining valuable experience working with the latest John Deere equipment and technology, building a solid foundation for their careers as service technicians.

Throughout the program, they’ll receive mentorship from seasoned Reynolds technicians, helping them sharpen their skills and grow in confidence. By the time they complete their degrees, they’ll not only have an education — they’ll have meaningful, on-the-job experience that will set them apart in the industry.
