Watch the video above as our Certified Dealer Instructor walks you through the step-by-step process of properly cleaning and disassembling your ExactApply sprayer body.
Quick Maintenance Overview
Regular maintenance helps avoid downtime during busy seasons. Always inspect your ExactApply nozzle bodies for wear, leaks, or clogging. Pay close attention to seals, screens, and solenoids, as these components experience the most stress.
Tip: Schedule a full system inspection before the spraying season starts and after it ends.

Cleaning with Erase
Erase is the recommended cleaning solution for ExactApply systems. It is safe for internal components and highly effective at removing chemical buildup, mineral deposits, and debris.
- Flush the system with clean water to remove loose residue.
- Mix Erase according to the product instructions.
- Circulate the solution through the boom and ExactApply bodies for the recommended time.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to ensure no Erase solution remains in the system.

Disassembling the ExactApply Body
Sometimes a deeper clean or repair calls for disassembly. Here is a simple guide:
- Turn off the system and relieve all pressure.
- Disconnect the electrical connections carefully and the solenoid and LED connections are delicate.
- Unscrew the nozzle body from the boom or holder.
- Remove the nozzle cartridge by gently pulling it out. Inspect the internal seals, screens, and orifices.
- Clean each component individually, using Erase for stubborn deposits.
- Reassemble by reversing the steps, making sure all seals are properly seated to avoid leaks.
Important: Always refer to the ExactApply service manual for detailed disassembly diagrams and torque specs when reassembling.
Maintaining your ExactApply bodies not only extends their life but ensures consistent, accurate spraying all season long. A little time spent now can save a lot of trouble later!
