Regulars of our Combine Cafe have been taking notice of the new and delectable changes the past couple of weeks, and with great thanks to our new Chef, Jon Hollingsworth. With 6 years of expertise in places such as Meridian Hills Country Club, Plow & Achor and The Local, Jon ‘s an expert behind a kitchen.

Gone are the daily lunch specials and standard menu.

"Running this cafe ‘ is something that I am really excited about having the opportunity to do," says Hollingsworth. When I interviewed with management for this position, I opened their eyes to a lot of exciting, new opportunities that I would love to bring to the table, and with their blessing, I ‘ve already begun."

Seasonal menu items have began drawing in new customers as well as getting the attention of regular customers such as Beth Bird of Kokomo, Indiana. "I normally order a burger, but understood from a friend of mine that the cafe now uses an even higher quality of beef, and it ‘s hand-formed; it tastes like a real, flame-broiled burger," said Bird. And other items that were already on the menu have changed as well, including a new, hand-breaded tenderloin, that ‘s soaked in buttermilk and sprinkled with special herbs. Take it from me, the writer here…the latter is amazing!

Speaking of amazing, new are the weekly lunch specials, such as this week ‘s chicken gyro, which includes chicken tzataziki, cucumber, onion and tomato along with a side of fries for only $7.95. And, its a large sandwich. "I wanted the lunch specials to have some legs, meaning, giving people throughout the week to come in and enjoy them; not just one day and you run out," Hollingsworth said.

Stop in May 1st thru 6th to try this week ‘s chicken gyro, or any number of fresh entrees from our new, seasonal menu.
