How to Make the Most of Low Potash and Nitrogen Prices

posted on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Blog

Along with “yield making” rain the past few days, there has been another positive event.  Fertilizer retailers are promoting fall fertilizer pricing at lower levels than we have seen for a while.  Specifically potash is being priced about 50 percent less than five years ago.  Nitrogen prices are moving lower.  Having a current assessment of your fertility levels from recently taken soil samples, is the only way to know where to take full advantage of these lower prices.

Today’s farms include fields that span the range from high fertility to low.  With lower material prices, now is the time to address your lower fertility areas.  Contact the Reynolds Agronomy team to schedule a fertility inventory assessment so you can take advantage of the softer fertilizer prices this fall.
