He was born Arzell Washington Reynolds, Jr., but known as “A.W.” or to friends as, “Mac,” a nickname that his late father acquired years before. He was married to Arline Reynolds [Zook] on December 31st, 1938, who survives. After graduating from In 1998, Mac was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash award, the highest civilian honor in the state of Mac would be the first to downplay and shy away from any awards or achievements to which others might like to recognize him for his many contributions, both physically and monetarily. His personal wisdom, as mentioned by him even recently was that we are put on Earth to be able to help others, insight that would have come from his faith based Christian background. One of his greatest pleasures was to be able to showcase the family business’ annual outdoor Christmas lights display at the Fishers store location as he loved to share the joy and bring happiness to those within the community. He is also survived by two sons, Larry A. [ |
